TRI@TM

The Translational Research Institute (TRI) is advancing medical innovation with the proposed construction of TM@TRI, a new expansion incubator designed to support the growth of med-tech startups. Located at 20 Cornwall Street, Woolloongabba, the new facility will sit adjacent to the existing TRI building and serve as a functional extension.

TM@TRI will feature a blend of cleanroom facilities, laboratories, office spaces, and innovation development areas to enable “step-out and scale-up” opportunities for emerging companies. Its strategic location on the southwestern edge of the Princess Alexandra Hospital Precinct places it near key education and research institutions, including the Pharmacy Australia Centre of Excellence (PACE) and The University of Queensland, a key stakeholder in the project.

The site boasts excellent connectivity, with nearby access to Dutton Park Train Station, Boggo Road Busway, and the future Boggo Road Cross River Rail Station, ensuring strong links to Brisbane’s broader transport network.

Committed to environmental responsibility, the project is being developed in collaboration with AURECON under bespoke sustainability guidelines and will align with the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) rating tools. The design also meets or exceeds BCA Section J energy performance requirements.
