UQ Campus
Enhancement

St Lucia Campus, Brisbane

The Campus Enhancement Project at the St Lucia campus of the University of Queensland has delivered a significant new focus and resource to one of the universities’ major science precincts. The extensive disparate spaces that are sandwiched between the chemistry and computer sciences buildings and the John Hines and Priestley buildings have been united into a coherent campus precinct.

A variety of interactive and circulation spaces have been created to provide equitable access to a multitude of points and numerous spaces and places for students to meet. The Physiology Refectory at the western end forms a pivotal area within the site. A variety of robust material and shade trees provide for a sustainable finish in this highly pedestrianised urban space.
