The stadium redevelopment included a $2.3million dollar landscape budget for hard and soft landscape. The works involved liaison with HOK Architects and the joint venture project management team. Design and documentation for the north and south Plaza, the surrounding streetscape with the incorporation of art work, furniture, lighting, irrigation, drainage, retaining and all hard elements. 

Design and documentation of infrastructure for landscape elements and access ways along Milton Road and Castlemaine Street for connections to public transport at Milton and Roma Streets. This major civic infrastructure has successfully incorporated the capacity for large scale people movement through the various landscape plazas.

Suncorp Stadium, at the hub of inner Brisbane CBD, has been redeveloped into a world class football stadium. Wilson Architects delivered the detailed design of the extensive external environment of the stadium and associated infrastructure. The landscape included the design of all external finishes, furniture and plantings and coordinated all external services, signage and artwork.

  • Plaza + Streetscape Design:

    North and South Plazas were designed as dynamic civic spaces supporting event and non-event use, integrating furniture, lighting, drainage, retaining walls, and public art.

    Transport Integration:

    Infrastructure design along Milton Road and Castlemaine Street ensured seamless pedestrian access to Milton and Roma Street public transport hubs, accommodating high crowd volumes.

    Civic Infrastructure + Flow:

    The landscape strategy facilitates large-scale pedestrian movement, event circulation, and safe crowd dispersal through well-articulated public space design.

    Collaboration + Delivery:

    Worked closely with HOK Architects and the project management joint venture to deliver detailed documentation for all external finishes, services coordination, signage, and integrated art.

    Landscape Investment:

    $2.3M allocated to hard and soft landscaping, balancing functional infrastructure with urban greening.
